What are the differences between a GCMS meter and Spectroscopy meter?
Specifically, what are the differences in capabilities of the FLIR Griffin G510 (GCMS) and the Smiths Detectection HazmatID (Fournier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)?
Why would I choose one over the other?
On a volunteer team with little to no budget, what would give the best “bang for the buck?”
After digging deeper and reading several articles from google searches, I see my original question is a little ignorant.
What’s the difference between Raman, FTIR and GCMS?
Pros/Cons of each?
If we can only buy one, which type do we go with?
